On his debut project Playboy Members Only, PMO $howtime continues to put on for Seattle while seamlessly incorporating Los Angeles stylization. The relatively short tape allows PMO to introduce himself through melodic hooks and effortless vocals, perfect for riding around town in the whip.

The project opens with “Attached”, a track that explores relationship struggles after securing checks and finding musical success. This opening track does just enough to grasp the listeners attention and set a consistent pace for the entirety of the tape. The next track, “Cancel”, which was initially released as a single on January 1st, is PMO $howtime’s most impressive song. The catchy single has been one of our favorite songs of 2021 and the diverting chorus never seems to get old.
The next few songs don’t necessarily stand out, but they blend perfectly and contribute to an effective aural experience. Despite these tracks such as “Outside”, “Affection”, and “Chosen” not attracting an overwhelming amount of attention, they are not skips and continue to highlight quality production. The seventh-track, “Pole”, is a must listen and one of the most compelling songs off of Playboy Members Only. PMO’s vocals are extremely smooth and gripping on this record, transforming standard lyrics into a hit that you will have on repeat.
Playboy Members Only doesn’t end with a bang, instead it continues to bring sleepy hits that manage to wrap up $howtime's debut project perfectly. Throughout the tape, PMO $howtime never amazes with extraordinary lyricism, but he stays within his boundaries and flaunts exceptional vocals. His vocal style is the focus on all nine-tracks, constantly reminding us that he is one of hip-hop’s rising stars. Keep an eye on the young artist as he navigates the industry and evolves into a household name.
