My Favorite Artists as Sneakers Pt. 2...Still Not a Sneakerhead

Phoebe Bridgers

This was such an easy pick for the LA folk-rocker, who embodies a unique emo sound. Although, a regular pair of Dr. Martens just wasn't enough for Bridgers, so after a little research the END. X Mastermind World X Dr. Marten collab felt so right. Her new album, Punisher, which is set to be released June 19th fits perfectly with this shoe and I think she needs to rock them at her next concert.

Johnny Venus

Both Doctur Dot and Venus sat down with Bleacher Report in May 2019 and discussed their 'sneaker road rotation'. The hip-hop duo both had the Nike Mars Yard Overshoe in their rotation and I can one-hundred percent envision them rocking these with their orange jumpers at a show. This shoe is slightly more Venus than Doctur Dot, although they are both cool and eccentric enough to rock them whenever and wherever.

Dave Bayley

The Glass Animals lead-man is definitely one-of-a-kind and finding a shoe to match his personality and style took some time. He is definitely either an Adidas or Puma guy and initially I was going to go with Stan Smith's or Continental 80's, but I would be doing Bayley an injustice by selecting such a basic shoe. The Hundreds X Puma "Decades" Clyde's is the perfect match, as it is simple, classic, but also unique and the color way is non-conventional.

Dominic Fike

The young pop-rap artist definitely needed a pair of black kicks, as well as something that he can wear while doing backflips in the street. I believe that Fike prefers to wear Converse, but these Vans X David Bowie's just give me straight Dom vibes. The black star on the shoe also works because he is destined to be a star.

ODIE

The laid-back and mellow singer, who often reflects on life in an interesting manner needed to be a shoe that is able to give people inspiration and hope, while not being a pair that you would typically think of. This is why the Nike SB Zoom Janoski Doernbecher Freestyles are perfect. Since 2004, Nike and the Doernbecher Children's Hospital have teamed up to give patients the chance to design a Nike shoe. The hospital also receives the profit and it is simply amazing. I strongly believe that the soothing and raw lyrics that ODIE always offers us matches this shoe all too well.
