"Clinton Hill" - Kota the Friend
Kota had a huge year in 2020 and EVERYTHING is an album that I will continue to bump for quite some time. Although the 28-year old has been around since 2017, this album was what he needed to break through and boost his following. Last week I was ecstatic to see that he released a follow up to his 2020 released Lyrics to Go, Vol. 1. The new 10-track project titled Lyrics to Go, Vol. 2. offers an intimate listening experience that could not be more soothing. Definitely listen to this project in its entirety, as the first track "Clinton Hill" will grasp your full attention and Kota will brighten your week with lyrical bliss.

"Trigger Protection Mantra" - Jhené Aiko
There’s no denying that the wrath of 2020 is still present in 2021. With more social distancing it’s important to continue to take care of our mental health. One way that’s helped clear the mind is Jhené Aiko’s song "Trigger Protection Mantra". It’s a six-minute sound meditation. Her soothing voice is accompanied by alchemy crystal singing bowls "in the key of A (third eye), E (solar plexus), and C (root chakra)." Take a step back, relax, and play the song with headphones for the best listening experience.

"Don't" - Calica, Daniel Loumpouridis
Rising indie-pop star and viral TikToker Calica recently dropped a collaborative EP, Lens, with Chicago-born producer Daniel Loumpouridis. This 6-track project is relatively slow and poignant, making for an EP that is perfect for rainy days. While I definitely enjoyed this project in its entirety, the single "Don't" stood out and found its way into my daily rotation. Give this danceable track a listen.

"Right from Wrong"- Beez, Dp0mmy
I have been listening to Beez ever since he was recommended by fellow music site Hummingbird Mag and one thing that I have learned is that the man can flat-out rap. On his new single with producer Dp0mmy he does just that and continues to boast his lyrical excellence. Give the deep-voiced rapper a listen and jump on the bandwagon.
