"All I need" - Verzache
Toronto-based artist Zach Farache, known as Verzache, is catching fire with his sophomore album My Head is a Moshpit. The 19-track project is an honest and emotive collection of tracks, fusing genre and telling a story with each song. “All I Need” stood out as I listened for the first time, boasting a melodic hook and acoustics that make you feel everything. While Verzache could be compared to Post Malone or fellow indie artist Gus Dapperton, he brings an infectious sound that is like no other. I recommend giving this entire LP a listen.

"Serotonin" - girl in red
I always feel a rush of anticipation when I learn that girl in red has released a new song. Typically, I find her songs to be very relatable and painfully vulnerable. Her most recent release, "Serotonin", did not stray from this theme. This song, with its poetic description of mental illness and strong bass, accompanies the shittiness of 2020 and 2021 perfectly. girl in red sings about all of the depressing and terrifying thoughts many of us have but would never say out loud. This song is courageous and beautiful, proving that we are not alone when it comes to our struggles with mental health.

"All My Girls Like To Fight" - Hope Tala
I discovered Hope Tala mid 2020 and have been a fan since. Her song "All My Girls Like To Fight" is captivating with its rhythmic beat and soft melodies. The London-based singer said "writing "All My Girls Like To Fight" was the first time I felt like I was really constructing an expansive narrative in a song. I wanted to create a visually rich tale steeped in drama and intrigue to match the suspenseful Spanish guitar chords we started with in the studio and wanted to portray women as having strength and agency in the narrative.” Hope Tala shows her strength in her music video, which is well worth the watch.
