Slappin' Sundays: Four for You

Makeup - Oberhofer

In his 2020 single, the New York based artist Brad Oberhofer continues to demonstrate his unprecedented use of synths, and his signature lo-fi vocals. Adding a techno feel to his typical indie pop sound, he creates a playful song about heartbreak.

Drama (feat. Drake) - Roy Woods

Canadian singer Roy Woods released "Drama" on his premier EP with OVO Sound. Woods and Drake are hypnotic on this track and speak upon inter-friend drama. Back in 2015, this track and the Exis EP displayed Woods' emerging potential and it still gets me excited to this day.

two queens in a king sized bed - girl in red

This is the newest release by the young Norwegian Indie artist, Marie Ulven, who puts a Holiday spin on her lyrics that usually focus on the daily frustrations of relationships and sexuality. In this single, the guitar heavy sound that we’re used to hearing takes a back seat with appearances only during the choruses via a few heavy strums. It’s nice to hear a new variety of instrumentation from this up and coming artist.

World Domination - Joey Bada$$

Joey Bada$$' best album to date remains his debut LP 1999 and it is back in the rotation. Every track on this project is unforgettable, although "World Domination" stands out due to its exquisite flow and cartoon-fueled production. Joey is truly one-of-a-kind and he will top 1999 eventually.
