Slappin' Sundays: Six Songs for Your Week

Can We (with Kacy Hill) - Jim-E Stack

LA based producer Jim-E Stack recently teamed up with dream pop singer Kacy Hill to give us this track that is smooth like butter. The duo delivers with a mellow song that embraces love, and through Hill's vocals it comes across radiantly. Check it!

Sweet Disposition - The Temper Trap

Released by the Australian indie rock band in 2008, it quickly became known as an anthem for the indie genre. Plucky electric guitar plays aside the lead singer Dougy Mandagi’s gorgeous falsetto. The lyrics are clearly love-laced, and the song as a whole is like a firework with its explosive emotions.

ROOF - Jessie Reyez

Not gonna lie I’ve had this song on repeat ever since Doggface posted a video clip of him longboarding with it playing in the background. At just a minute and forty-five seconds one might expect "ROOF" to serve as an interlude or transition within the album, but it is actually a strong standalone. Overall it is a breezy trap-pop song that is one of the many highlights from Jessie's second full length album Before Love Came to Kill Us

On My Sh*t (feat. Joey Bada$$) - Phony Ppl

The Brooklyn based group Phony Ppl has been flying under the radar, but this collaboration with Joey Bada$$ should put them on the map. This track is catchy and made for riding around town with the homies, showcasing distinct vocals and solid production. Phony Ppl set the tone, although it is Joey that takes over with an incredible verse.

Tonight (feat. iann dior) - jxdn

Indie/Alternative artist jxdn gives you butterflies with symphonic and electronic sounds, as well as establishing a concrete rock presence on this track. Additionally, iann dior delivers with a dominant hip-hop/pop-punk feature. Give it a listen!

Lost Me (feat. Lil Mosey, iann dior, Lil Skies) - Internet Money

Internet Money dropped a strong debut album, B4 The Storm, in August and the project boasts an impressive feature list. The single "Lost Me" is one of my favorites, as it focuses on being uptempo and utilizes catchy hooks.
