"Whoa, Kenny!": Producer Kenny Beats is One of the Best Out There

The 6-foot-7 hip-hop producer is off to a hot start in 2020, releasing the energetic EP UNLOCKED with Denzel Curry back in February, the single "Stone Cold" with Deb Never in March, and then dropping his newest song "DICKIES SUIT" with ICECOLDBISHOP just yesterday. I have been following the Connecticut born and raised producer for some time now, but I have really been gravitating towards his work more recently and I absolutely love hollering his tagline “Whoa, Kenny!”. Over the years, Kenny has had some major success producing music with tons of artists including Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Rico Nasty, Dominic Fike, and more, although the 28-year-old is just getting started.

Back in March 2019, Kenny started a YouTube series called “The Cave”, named after his studio. In the series he invites various artists, ranging from household names in rap to rising artists, to come

through and spit bars over custom beats. After watching many of these episodes it is apparent why artists absolutely love working with Kenny Beats as he is chill, funny, creative, extremely communicative throughout the series, and someone that anyone would love to kick it with.

A strength that solidifies Kenny as one of the best hip-hop producers out right now is that he is able to help artists develop and search for their own sound, rather than just throwing a distinct and generic beat out there. This is illustrated in his YouTube series, as well as through the music that he releases and it always makes for a fun listen. Continue to keep an eye on Kenny Beats as he develops, becomes more of a household name, and releases even more heat with an expansive list of artists.
